There are generics available for the following medications:

• AMBIEN – Ambien is indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia. The generic for Ambien will be zolpidem.

• COREG – Coreg is commonly used for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure. The generic for Coreg is carvedilol.

• LAMISIL – Lamisil is an antifungal medication commonly used for fungal infections of the toenails and fingernails. The generic for Lamisil is terbinafine.

• MOBIC – Mobic is a medication commonly used for the relief of the signs and symptoms of arthritis. The generic for Mobic is meloxicam.

• NORVASC – Norvasc commonly used for the treatment of high blood pressure and angina.  The generic for Norvasc will be amlodipine.

• PRAVACHOL – Pravachol is a medication commonly used to lower cholesterol. The generic for Pravachol is pravastatin.

• TOPROL XL – Toprol XL is commonly used for the treatment of high blood pressure, angina and heart failure.  The generic for Toprol XL will be metoprolol succinate.

• ZITHROMAX TABLETS AND SUSPENSION – Zithromax is an antibiotic medication commonly used for the treatment of bacterial infections. The generic for Zithromax is azithromycin.   

• ZOCOR – Zocor is a medication commonly used to lower cholesterol. The generic for Zocor is simvastatin.

• ZOLOFT – Zoloft is a medication commonly used for the treatment of depression. The generic for Zoloft is sertraline.

• ZYRTEC – Zyrtec is an antihistamine medication commonly used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis.   The generic for Zyrtec will be cetirizine.
