Agency Evaluation Tool

The Agency Evaluation Tool is used by the Employee Suggestion Program to communicate with the evaluating agency. The tool allows an agency to electronically communicate the status of a suggestion to the Employee Suggestion Program, including the request for an extension.

An employee/retiree whose idea is approved and put into effect will receive a Certificate of Merit signed by the members of the State Civil Service Commission (Commission). Suggestions that result in significant cost savings may be eligible for a monetary award.

In addition to actual monetary savings or benefits of implementation, the Commission may consider any of the following to determine an award amount:

  • Originality
  • Extent of use
  • Effectiveness
  • Ingenuity
  • Effort involved
  • Importance of the operation affected
  • Job duties and responsibilities of the employee who made the suggestion
