Duties:
Duties involve working with audit teams in conducting audits of taxpayers' electronic financial records, to verify compliance with New York tax laws and regulations. Some travel may be involved.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must have (or be within ten months of receiving) a bachelors' degree, including or supplemented by 24 semester credit hours in accounting or auditing, AND six credit hours in computer science, to apply for this examination. Up to six credit hours in related course work (taxation, finance, economics, money and banking, computer science or business) may be applied to meet the accounting/auditing course work requirement. Additionally, related work experience may be substituted for the computer science course work. There is no written test for this examination. Instead, you must apply using a special application form(pdf) which will be used to evaluate your education and experience.
