About Budco

The NYS Department of Civil Service selected BUDCO Health Service Solutions to administer the Dependent Eligibility Verification Project as the result of the competitive bid process mandated by NYS.  BUDCO is a national leader in the field of dependent eligibility verification and has over 10 years of experience in this field.  They have evaluated the eligibility of over 3 million dependents and have worked with large employer groups such as AT&T, Target and United Parcel Service (UPS) and large organized labor groups, including AFL-CIO, Teamsters United and United Automotive Workers (UAW). 

Every effort has been taken by BUDCO to ensure the privacy and security of all personal and protected health information during this project.  BUDCO has extensive security measures in place including physical security of its workplace.  All documents received by BUDCO are shredded, once they are scanned.  BUDCO staff participates in extensive training; they are barred access to the internet, e-mail and social security numbers.   Each employee is trained in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and have Federal and State background checks performed prior to employment.

BUDCO has representatives ready to assist enrollees and HBAs with questions about this Project at 1-888-358-2198.  Representatives have received extensive training in responding to the NYSHIP population.  The call center will be open Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
