Effective April 30, 2016, the contract between New York State and MedAmerica Insurance Company of New York (MedAmerica), the insurer and administrator of the New York State Public Employee and Retiree Long Term Care Insurance Plan (NYPERL) expired. If you are interested in private long term care insurance, you can contact the New York State Partnership for Long Term Care (NYSPLTC), which is a unique Department of Health program for State residents combining private long term care insurance and Medicaid Extended Coverage.
