NETWORK PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, GRADE 18

Classification Standard

 

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CLASS

 

Network Program Administrators are classified at the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS).  These positions are responsible for the overall coordination of the Network Program within a correctional facility.  Incumbents personally direct group sessions on an ongoing and regular basis; maintain applicable Program records at facilities; evaluate inmate progress within the Program and recommend any changes; maintain administrative goals for staff; and are responsible for public relations relating to the Network Program in accordance with facility and departmental procedures. 

 

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

 

NETWORK PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR: journey level; plans and organizes the Network training program in conjunction with the Network Program.

 

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

 

Plans, organizes and conducts the training for the Network Program in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Evaluates inmate progress within the program and recommend any changes.

 

 

 

May serve in a public relations capacity addressing community groups and meeting with representatives of the media following established procedures through the public information office.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Open Competitive:  four years of experience providing motivational behavioral modification services to residents in a secure setting. Such experience must have been in a formal institution program in which peer support is stressed and aimed at social behavior modification through positive mutual interchanges.  College credits may be substituted for up to two of the four years of required experience at the rate of 30 college credits for one year and 60 college credits for two years.
