MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: On or before April 2, 2005, you must be a qualified
employee of the New York State Department of Civil Service and have had
permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
For 06-560: as a Chief Staffing Services Representative
For 06-561: as a Chief Staffing Services Representative
or Principal Staffing Services Representative
If you were permanently appointed to a qualifying title and have served
continuously in this title, you are eligible to file for this examination.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR APPOINTMENT FROM THE ELIGIBLE LIST:
After one year of the service described in the minimum qualifications,
successful candidates will be qualified for appointment from the eligible
list.
SUBJECT OF EXAMINATION: The examination
consists of meeting the minimum qualifications on or
before April 2, 2005, and your best score of 70 or higher on any previously
held High-Level Managers and Administrators Promotion Test Battery,
or the April 2, 2005, holding.
NOTE: Candidates intending to take the 2005 High
Level Managers and Administrators Promotion Test Battery must
apply separately for that test.
Final scores will be computed by using your best score of 70 or higher
on the High Level Managers and Administrators Promotion Test Battery.
Rank on the eligible list will be determined after adding any wartime
veterans' credits to your final passing score.
SENIORITY: The relative importance of length of service
in preparing candidates for these management-level positions will not
add to the ability of the examination to make merit distinctions necessary
for promotion. Therefore, there will be no credit granted for seniority
in this examination.
DUTIES: Working as a team, the Director, Division of
Staffing Services; the Assistant Director, Staffing Services; and Staffing
Services Program Manager will coordinate the management and direction
of the Division.
