Proposal Information

Description:

The Bureau of Financial Operations (BFO) is responsible for implementing New York State's $235 million multi-agency Superstorm Sandy Disaster Assistance Grant. The grant is designed to provide the State's health and human service providers and the vulnerable populations that they serve with the assistance they need in recovering from Sandy. BFO's Super Storm Sandy Team is unique in that it combines both programmatic and fiscal responsibilities in one working group that has administrative and oversight duties involving all phases of Contract and Financial Management for this project. The project is also unique because of the exceptionally high statutory requirements for federal scrutiny over these Disaster Assistance Funds. Student Interns will be involved in all functions of the Superstorm Sandy Team including, but not limited to: Claims processing, Audit Preparation, Site Visits and Reporting
