Proposal Information

Description:

The internship will focus on assisting NYSDOT Regional Environmental Staff with desktop environmental surveys as well as field survey work related to environmental issues including but not limited to; threatened and endangered species, streams, wetlands, cultural resources, air quality, noise and energy, hazardous waste and regulatory permitting. The intern will also be responsible for working with Regional Environmental staff to learn about NYSDOT policy and applicable environmental regulations.

Skills:
* Coursework in Field Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Conservation, Landscape Ecology, Transportation Planning, Quantitative Research, Energy, Environmental Policy or related courses.
* Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team.
