Primary duties of the Student Assistant will be:
1. The Student Assistant Internship Description: The Department of Labor QMC Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) would like to have paid student internship positions in its Quality Management Center in Albany, NY. The Human Services Cluster is responsible for managing information technology for applications supporting New York State's core human services eligibility for the Department of Labor and benefit issuance programs.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The paid intern will report to the functional testing Supervisors of the Quality Management Center at the Department of Labor. The intern will work closely with the functional testing team on all aspects of functional testing. The Intern will learn the concepts of testing and be able to actually create and record testing scripts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Seeking qualified candidates for a student internship position in the Quality Management Center in Albany, NY. The intern will report to the Internship Coordinator of the Quality Management Center and will work closely with the testing and monitoring team.

Aspects of overall application quality will include:

* Functional Application Testing
* Application Load Testing
* Application Performance Monitoring
* Application Release Management
* Computer Science major preferred
* Web/HTML experience is required. JAVA or Object-Oriented programming experience is a plus.
* Working with a number of different automated testing tools and scripting technologies; prior experience a plus.
