Proposal Information

Description:

The New York Department of State's Division of Consumer Protection (DCP) is charged with the Protection, Education and Representation of issues affecting New York consumers. DCP's core functions are consumer assistance; identity theft prevention and mitigation; educational outreach on consumer issues and product safety; intervention on behalf of consumers in utility proceedings; and development of policy and legislation in aid of consumers.

The DCP is seeking an intern to work with Division staff researching and analyzing consumer issues, drafting reports on consumer issues, facilitating consumer alerts, updating the Division's website, and assisting with special projects.

Excellent oral and written comm. skills
