Responsibilities and Tasks
* Learning about and analyzing Procurement Service's current customer complaint policy and procedures;
* Researching and understanding how Procurement Services teams currently receive and manage complaints;
* Developing a project and action plan that encompasses various phases from analysis to new policy/procedure recommendation;
* Providing progress reports via PowerPoint;
* Researching and surveying how our counterparts in other public procurement organizations (e.g., National Association of State Procurement Officials - NASPO, and NYS municipal governments - SAMPO) receive, track, manage and report complaints;
* Developing a new policy that includes a more modern approach to receiving, tracking, and reporting customer complaints, including expected timelines for response and close-out;
* Creating a final report describing the entire process and recommending a future approach; and
* As it relates to your coursework (if required for seeking course credit), while OGS will interact with your institution regarding the internship, you will be expected to also seek guidance from your academic advisor (or professor/mentor) in your supply chain management program.
