Description:
The intern will assist members of the New York State Police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit (CSAVU) in carrying out their mission as it relates victims, victim advocacy groups, college and university administrations, campus police or security, local law enforcement agencies, and the general public.
DUTIES
-Provide CSAVU members assistance in their outreach efforts by preparing and correlating supporting materials such as conference handouts or promotional materials, minutes or reports on workshops, seminar notes, etc.
-Provide planning and staff assistance for special events including interviews, conference exhibits, workshops and seminars, and other unit events.
-May also be tasked with assisting in the drafting of audiovisual presentations, charts and other related visual materials.
-Collaborate with the CSAVU team in development of ideas and materials to assist the team in furthering their message and mission.
-Assist with organizing information/data and research and analysis, and
-Other duties assigned by the CSAVU Technical Lieutenant
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO:
-Are familiar with the "Enough is Enough" legislation, the Clery Act, and Title IX of the United States Code;
-Have a working knowledge of the use and capabilities of photographic, audiovisual, and printing equipment;
-Have the ability to write informational materials clearly and accurately.
