Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist the Information Technology (IT) Department with various computer-related and support services for Empire State Development.
WORK PERFORMED:
* Help Desk telephone coverage; response to service calls in a timely fashion; and over the phone resolution when applicable.
* Recording and dissemination of work orders to IT Help Desk staff.
* Assist with equipment set-up for internal conferences.
* Assist with staff equipment moves and reconnections.
* Assist in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support of computer hardware and software.
* Assist in the packaging and delivery of computer and computer-related equipment as needed.
* Assist in special projects as they develop.
* Accompany IT staff to Regional Offices.
* Performs such other tasks and functions as required by supervisor and IT management to service the information processing needs of the end-user community.
This is a customer service oriented position requiring the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems under pressure, in a timely and courteous manner.
