BASIC FUNCTION:
The Intern will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the work performed by the Division and will be able to witness first-hand how government can facilitate development of the commercial life science industry - one of the most important economic sectors in the nation.
WORK PERFORMED:
* Conduct research and analysis on the state of the Life Science industry in New York State to assist in development of the Division's annual report to the Governor and legislature
* Conduct other research, as called for, and assist with the preparation of written materials, including background documents, presentations, Q&A documents, talking points and other briefing materials required in preparation for meetings with ESD senior staff, for board meetings, and for meetings with external parties.
* Create presentations that effectively communicate research findings, project findings and/or project recommendations to key audiences
* Produce and manage weekly activity and status reports to ensure they reflect the most current status of activities and issues related to Life Science Division initiatives
* Assist the Life Science team in all aspects of the project management lifecycle, including strategic analysis, procurement and planning, partnership development, and project implementation
* Help plan, coordinate, and execute events supporting the full range of projects and portfolios
