Proposal Information
Description:
This position will report to the IT Specialist 4 (Data Comm.) within the Data Center Networks group at the CNSE complex in Albany. The incumbent will be responsible for equipment inventory; network diagrams; monitoring of SolarWinds and other network management platforms; backing up of configurations; bandwidth utilization (top talkers, traffic analyzing); code upgrades; and Return Merchandise Authorizations. Approval to fill this position is essential for continuing operations due to recent increase in projects, especially the migration from NFX to the ZEN Data Center. This position will assist in completing additional projects due to workload priority changes. Ability to fill this position will assist Operations' staff on changes, incidents, and other tasks allowing senior staff to handle high-level tasks.
