Proposal Information

Description:

Work with the Director of Disability Rights on cases of discrimination based upon disability under the New York State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL). Interns assist the Director with disability discrimination cases in the employment, housing and public accommodations context. Review and analyze disability discrimination complaints to identify patterns or practice of discrimination against persons with disabilities under the NYSHRL. Assist the Director with education and outreach for covered entities and the general public to promote compliance with the NYSHRL.
