Proposal Information

Description:

The Rockland Living Museum at Rockland Psychiatric Center is an open art studio for adults with mental illness. Interns will be expectecd to help facilitate a wide range of art-making projects which includes drawing, painting, sculpture, doll and mask making, printmaking, photography, among others. There will be opportunity to participate in group art therapy processes as well as to work individual with clients. Interns will have access to client's charts and will be given weekly supervision by the director, a licensed creative arts therapist. Interns will have the opportunity to work independently and to share their personal artistic talents and skills. This is a suitable placement for graduate and undergraduate Art Therapy Students as well as psychology students with an interest in art.
