Description:
NYSOFA is a small but mighty agency that is dedicated to helping older New Yorkers remain independent in their homes and communities. Communications interns will join our communication team in advancing the agenda of our agencies and promoting our priorities. Interns will be responsible for drafting content for our website and social media, assisting with constituent correspondence, and assisting with planning for our annual Older New Yorkers' Day Celebration in May.
Typical Hours: Variable
Days & Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Daily Tasks, type of work to be performed:
- Creating:
o draft social media posts
o draft info graphics
o draft press releases and articles for the website
o draft correspondence
- Assisting with event planning
- Working with databases and document production
