Description:
The Planning and Research (P & R) Section supports all NYSP operations by:
*Conducting analyses to identify new, more responsive, efficient and effective ways to operate.
*Researching, evaluating and comparing products being considered for adoption or deployment to the field.
*Managing the Division's Accreditation and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) programs.
Staffing is a mix of civilian analysts and experienced sworn officers.
Interns assigned to P&R will partner with State Police staff to assist in current initiatives.
Applicants must meet the New York State Student Intern Eligibility Requirements in order to apply for an internship.
In addition to uploading your resume onto the New York State Student Intern Program portal, a New York State Police Application for Internship, a New York State Police Release of Information form, a letter of recommendation from your school and most recent transcripts MUST also be submitted.
