Dispute Resolution Program/Workers' Compensation
The Workers' Compensation Dispute Resolution Program (DRP) is administered by National Medical Reviews, Inc. (NMR). NMR provides independent, third party reviews of medical records to resolve disagreements regarding an injured employee's degree of disability in order to determine his/her ability to return to work.
Employees of the following groups are eligible for the DRP if the person elects to participate in the Medical Evaluation Program (MEP):
- NYSCOPBA - employees in the Security Services Unit represented by the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (NYSCOPBA);
- Council 82 - employees in the Security Supervisors Unit represented by the NYS Law Enforcement Officers' Union, District Council 82 (Council 82); and
- APSU - employees in the Agency Police Services Unit (APSU) represented by the Police Benevolent Association of New York State, Inc. (PBANYS).
