Job Description

Engineering Materials Analysts are engaged in determining the suitability of engineering materials for use in construction.  Employees participate in the performance of various physical (as opposed to chemical) tests to determine such suitability, and may perform various tasks related to this function.  These positions are located in the Department of Transportation.

Trainees will receive a combination of structured training, on-the-job training, and/or practical job performance to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to function at the full performance level.

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

Bachelor's or higher degree with 24 semester credit hours in biochemistry and/or chemistry.

Most employees will be appointed to the Trainee job title.

Appointments to this job title require a one-year traineeship that starts at the Trainee, G-13, and advances, after one year of acceptable performance, to the full performance, G-14, job title described above.
