Review of Denial of Reasonable Accommodation
(Compliance Review Board)* Timeline

This timeline explains the steps taken by the Department of Civil Service to review the denial of a reasonable accommodation request.
Step 1: One week for the letter of acknowledgment to agency.
 
Step 2: Within first week, review the file to determine if all information is available. If not, contact designated responsible person for reasonable accommodation.
 
Step 3: One week to prepare chronology (putting all events in chronological order).
 
Step 4: Four weeks for Reasonable Accommodation staff to prepare comprehensive preliminary report based on available information.
 
Step 5: One week for management staff in Division of Diversity Planning and Management to review preliminary report.
 
Step 6: Preliminary report is sent to Counsel's Office. Two weeks for review.
 
Step 7: Two weeks to prepare final report and send it to Compliance Review Board for their recommendations.
 
Step 8: Receive the Board's recommendations, and within one week, a letter is sent from Chairperson of Compliance Review Board to agency head informing him/her of the recommendations.
