BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CLASS SERIES
Sales Program Coordinators implement, evaluate, and promote New York States lottery sales at the Division of the Lottery, Gaming Commission.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
REGIONAL SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR: one-position class; provides direction to regional sales staff, such as Lottery Marketing Specialist and Supervising Lottery Marketing Representative; under the general direction of the Sales Program Coordinator, implements and monitors regional sales programs and lottery initiatives.
SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR: one-position class; supervises Regional Sales Program Coordinator; under the general direction of the Lottery Sales Manager, manages statewide sales operations, including retailer equipment management, gaming system promotions and retailer incentives, credit limit monitoring and Sales Force Automation.
RELATED CLASSES
Lottery Marketing Representatives assist with the sales, retailer incentives, merchandising, and retailer education efforts associated with new and existing lottery games and machines at retailers for the purpose of maximizing the sales of Lottery products within an assigned territory.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
REGIONAL SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Implement regional sales program and support technology initiatives; interpret and decipher data relating to sales and retailer initiatives and regional performance; present training programs on sales, incentives, retailer initiatives and recruitment efforts to regional sales staff; articulate statewide sales and marketing strategies to regional sales infrastructure to translate marketing goals into actionable sales and merchandising tactics; and participate in sales development plans to maximize revenues from various on-line and instant Lottery products.
SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR: prepare and issue appropriate marketing and operations communications to the field; develop regional management field training materials and provide regional support and training on Sales Force Automation and Marketing programs and best practices; support regional management and Lottery Marketing Representatives by providing reports, updates and other resources from Lottery database and Sales Force Automation; develop regional incentives and implement special projects to manage inventory; manage regional equipment requests based upon equipment availability and possible sales potential; and perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
REGIONAL SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Promotion: one year of permanent competitive service as a Lottery Marketing Specialist or Supervising Lottery Marketing Representative.
SALES PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Promotion: one year of permanent competitive service as an Assistant Lottery Regional Director 1 or Regional Sales Program Coordinator.
