Job Description

As a Rehabilitation Technologist 3, you would work to increase opportunities toward independence for persons with physical disabilities through the appropriate application of rehabilitation technologies. You would provide consultation to professionals and services to patients for prosthetic or orthotic devices, wheelchairs, seating and mobility systems, augmentative communication devices, computer access, environmental control units, and rehabilitation interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

A current license or certification to practice either Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology OR a bachelor's degree in Engineering, specializing in Rehabilitation Engineering; AND four years of professional experience of which three years must be in the area of assistive technology and two years must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Substitution: A master's degree may be substituted for one year of professional experience.
