After you file your application, you will be notified if it has been approved or disapproved.
DISQUALIFIED APPLICATIONS: If your application is not approved, you will be notified by mail and will be given the reason for the disapproval.
APPROVED APPLICATIONS: If your application is approved and the examination consists of a written test, you will receive an admission notice. This notice will tell you where and when to report to take the test. Read it carefully and be sure to bring it with you when you go to the test center.
Admission notices are usually mailed to candidates about ten days before the written test, to the address provided. If you do not receive your notice to appear for this (these) examination(s) three days before the date of the written test, please email us at AdmissionNotices@cs.ny.gov. Please provide your first and last name, address, and the last four digits of your SSN, and we will provide you with the information you need to attend your examination.
