Proposal Information

Description:

Intern will work under the general supervision of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Public Safety Liaison to assist the OEM and the Department of Agriculture and Markets in the development and implementation of the 2018 New York State Fair Incident Action Plan.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

* Planning, information collection, collation, and distribution of information in the development of an Incident Action Plan for the 2018 New York State Fair.
* Assist in the development and implementation of the Incident Action Plan.
* Collaborate with public safety and service organizations to maintain monitoring and management of the event.
* Coordinate with all disciplines to maximize situational awareness relative to suspicious persons, vehicles, or packages.
* Review, secure approval, and process resource requests for municipalities, counties, state agencies, and other partners.
* Maintain sufficient resources to initiate operational response to any emergency that may occur.
* Provide assistance with facilitation of safe and expeditious movement of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, ensuring safe access and egress to fairground.
* Provide assistance with creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
* Assist with other OEM projects as needed.
