Proposal Information

Description:

In order to fulfill its programmatic objectives in the area of GIS, the Office of General Services(OGS) requires assistance to increase the range and accuracy of the geographic databases it compiles and analyzes. This work is appropriate for undergraduate and graduate students from a geography, cartography, and/or surveying program who have successfully completed an introductory GIS course.

The workload for the intern shall consist of GIS map preparation, scanning and digitizing of maps, creation of geographic datasets and collection of GPS data. Work shall be based at the Office of General Service Bureau of Land Management, 39th floor, Corning Tower, Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY
