Job Description

Medicaid Integrity Specialists (Financial Analysis) perform examinations, analyses, and verifications of financial records of Medicaid providers to determine compliance with program requirements and identify improperly expended Medicaid payments. Positions establish audit scope by analyzing and determining areas for audit and time frame to be examined; draft audit plan outlining specific tasks, timeline, and deliverables; analyze random audit samples to evaluate service dates and payment amounts; evaluate available Medicaid data system resources to determine appropriate claiming, financial, and other services related information; prepare and organize all relevant work papers, pre-audit and audit documents following established audit guidelines; and document audit results and calculate recovery amounts.

A bachelor's degree or higher.

Advanced Placement

If chosen, you may, at the agency's discretion, be appointed to a higher level. You must inform the agency of any additional qualifications at your interview.

For Trainee 2 you must also have:

Either 1. One year of professional experience*; OR

2. a Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a field related to the position being filled**

For the Full Performance Level you must also have:

Either 1. Two years of professional experience*; OR

2. a Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a field related to the position being filled** AND one year of professional experience*.

*Professional experience must be performing the duties of the full performance level position.
