Job Description

Human Resources Specialists 1 (Testing Engineering) develop tests of knowledge, skills, and abilities within the occupational specialty of engineering to provide appropriate Civil Service Merit System selection measures.  Employees analyze jobs, determine appropriate selection measures, develop test plans, prepare test questions, analyze test results, and make recommendations for test scoring and setting of pass points, within the occupational specialty of engineering.  These positions are located in the Department of Civil Service.

Trainees will receive a combination of structured training, on-the-job training, and/or practical job performance to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to function at the full performance level.

Minimum Qualifications

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

A bachelor's or higher degree in agricultural engineering, architectural engineering, biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, civil engineering technology, electrical engineering, engineering science, engineering science in water waste and environmental engineering, engineering technology, environmental engineering, environmental resource engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources and environmental engineering.

To apply for the examination for this PCO Select Job Title you must apply for the PCO examination by February 20, 2019, fill out and submit the PCO Questionnaire by April 5, 2019, and take the PCO written test in April of 2019.
