Job Description

Education Credentials Specialists review and evaluate applications for professional licenses, teaching certificates, or related credentials for compliance with State requirements. Employees provide information on laws and regulations pertaining that function to various parties; and research out-of-state educational programs to evaluate their equivalency to standards.

Trainees will receive a combination of structured training, on-the-job training, and/or practical job performance to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to function at the full performance level.

A Bachelor's or higher degree.

Advanced Placement

If chosen, you may, at the agency's discretion, be appointed to a higher level. You must inform the agency of any additional qualifications at your interview.

For Trainee 2 you must also have:

Either 1. One year of professional experience in human resources developing job standards and assessing applicant qualifications; OR

2. One year of professional experience evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions.

For the Full Performance Level you must also have:

Either 1. Two years of professional experience in human resources developing job standards and assessing applicant qualifications; OR

2. Two years of professional experience evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions.
