Job Description

Education Credentials Specialists review and evaluate applications for professional licenses, teaching certificates, or related credentials for compliance with State requirements.  Employees provide information on laws and regulations pertaining that function to various parties; and research out-of-state educational programs to evaluate their equivalency to standards.  These positions are located in the State Education Department.

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

A bachelor's or higher degree; AND two years of professional experience in:

Either: 1. Human Resources developing job standards and assessing applicant qualifications;

OR 2. Evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions.

The 2019 PCO will be open for application from January 18, 2019. To apply for the examination for this PCO Select Job Title you must apply for the PCO examination by February 20, 2019, fill out and submit the PCO Questionnaire by April 5, 2019, and take the PCO written test in April of 2019.
