All salary grades for trainees titles are non-statutory (NS) equated to the salary grade identified. These grade equations apply to the starting salaries in their respective salary schedule for the traineeship levels.
Job Description
Trainees receive on-the-job and/or structured training to gain the knowledge and experience necessary at the full performance level to perform a wide range of specialized activities related to the calculation and maintenance of Medicaid and/or Medicare reimbursement rates. They are responsible for reviewing and/or preparing cost and statistical data reported by various health care providers; completing financial and statistical analysis of healthcare financing methodologies; conducting financial feasibility studies; calculating appropriate Medicaid and/or Medicare rates of payment; and resolving health care provider rate appeals.

Minimum Qualifications
You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration or Economics
Coursework Requirements
18 semester credit hours in statistics, economics, accounting and/or auditing, 12 of which must be in accounting and/or auditing
