Job Description

Individuals in this job title analyze financial information prepared on behalf of group self insurers who have defaulted on their obligations to pay claims and prepare reports which summarize the findings of such analysis. They review comparative financial statements prepared in accordance with General Accepted Accounted Principles (GAAP) and ensure that all appropriate New York adjustments have been made; review actuarial reports and ensure that the reports contain sufficient documentation for actuarial peer review; review forensic reports which detail the reasons for the groups' under funding and ultimate default; maintain reports which summarize billing and collection information for every defaulted group which will serve as the basis for any Attorney General collection referrals; review financial information to identify trends or changes in the financial condition of defaulted group self insurers; and prepare standardized evaluations of group self insurers who have defaulted.

Two years of experience in performing financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, reserve analysis, cash flow analysis such as revenue and expenditure forecasting, budget variance analysis and industry analysis to determine repayment ability.
