Job Description
Individuals in this job title perform and supervise the performance of various human resources (personnel) and employee services activities, such as: recruitment; Civil Service examination; placement; position classification and compensation; employee benefits; employee health and safety; employee counseling; employee recognition; staff development; and labor relations. Human Resources Specialists seek to build and maintain a workforce that is effective in accomplishing the employing agencys mission and goals within the framework of the Civil Service system. Human Resources Specialists are found in most agencies.
