Job Description

Individuals in this job title perform pathway analysis and dose assessments for proposed and existing discharges of radioactive material; review environmental reports for radiological impacts and prepare recommendations; review and revise regulations to conform to federal and state laws and regulations governing radioactive discharges and disposal; and perform field investigation including radiation surveys and sample collections and analysis. In addition, they participate in public hearings and meetings on radiological facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Radiological Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry or Nuclear Medicine Technology

Advanced Placement

If chosen, you may, at the agency's discretion, be appointed to a higher level. You must inform the agency of any additional qualifications at your interview.
