Job Description
Trainees receive on-the-job and/or structured training in the field of health care financing to gain the knowledge and experience necessary at the full performance level to conduct health services research and work with outside groups to develop policy options and recommendations to implement health care delivery systems that contain health care costs while protecting access to quality health care services. Trainees will identify, research and analyze financial issues important to health care providers; review State and federal health care financial statutes, regulations and policies; participate in development, implementation and evaluation of audit or health care services/financing programs; calculate the impact of health care delivery systems; analyze third party reimbursement rates; and participate in contract processes.

15 semester credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, health administration, health policy, health systems, political science and/or public administration
