Job Description
Trainees receive on-the-job and/or structured training to gain the knowledge and experience necessary at the full performance level to ensure regulatory compliance and analytical testing in support of food safety and security programs in New York State. They perform a variety of laboratory techniques to study, test and analyze foods and agricultural commodities collected by Department staff for specific health hazards or accuracy of labeling.
