Job Description

Individuals in this job title provide technical assistance for the integrated programs and supported employment programs, within a VESID District Office service area, directed toward improving job opportunities for persons with disabilities. They develop job opportunities; communicate job leads, marketing concepts, and labor force information to district office staff; and network closely with service providers.They also provide technical assistance for the integrated employment programs, and coordinate all aspects of the supported employment program in the district office.

View Additional Qualifications

Three years of experience in originating employment programs resulting in new and increased employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This experience must have included job development and creating targeted marketing plans directed toward hiring persons with disabilities. One year of this experience must have included either preparation and delivery of presentations to business groups on employing persons with disabilities or negotiating agreements to hire persons with disabilities.
