Job Description

Individuals in this job title provide services necessary to help certain low-income individuals obtain and maintain employment. Services provided include completing client assessments to identify work history, training and education credentials, employment preferences, barriers to employment and other factors needed to support an effective job search. They help clients identify available job openings, prepare employment resumes and may provide work readiness training for clients on topics such as how to complete an on-line job application and appropriate work habits. They engage in frequent written and oral communications with clients and employers and function with a high degree of independence when helping clients obtain employment.

Two years of experience in placing low income or Welfare to Work participants in private sector employment. Experience must extend beyond assessment or interviewing functions and must include contact on a routine basis with employers in order to discuss candidate suitability for job openings, arrange job referrals and employer interviews and on-site follow up of new hires.
