Job Description
Trainees receive on-the-job and/or structured training to gain the knowledge and experience necessary at the full performance level to develop, administer, or supervise initiatives and programs directed toward improving the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement and public safety related activities. They may work with local criminal justice agencies to evaluate operations, identify needs, and develop procedures, protocols and systems to improve operations and link them to other agencies and resources. They may also work with state agency staff on regional or statewide program initiatives designed to coordinate information gathering and dissemination for use by local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies, or to administer various other programs that provide service to these agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Forensics, Law Enforcement, Criminal Science, Public Justice, Justice Studies or Correctional Studies. NOTE: A degree in Forensic Psychology or Sociology is NOT qualifying.
