Minimum Qualifications
You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Taxation;
OR
Bachelor's or higher degree with 24 semester credit hours in accounting, auditing, or taxation courses. Note that courses such as business law, economics, statistics, and most finance courses, although taken as part of an accounting curriculum, cannot be counted toward the 24 semester credit hours.
Advanced Placement
If chosen, you may, at the agency's discretion, be appointed to a higher level. You must inform the agency of any additional qualifications at your interview.

Travel Requirements
Some field audit positions may require that you have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate an ability to perform the required field work if public transportation is not available. You will be advised of this at the employment interview.
