Minimum Qualifications

You must meet the requirements below to qualify for this title.

A bachelor's or higher degree; AND two years of professional experience in child protective casework services related to the assessment of the health and safety of children and families, by conducting child protective comprehensive investigations, making determinations regarding substantiation of the allegations, and includes assessing the need for ongoing services or court intervention.

Examples of Non-Qualifying Experience include casework services NOT related to children and families, such as adult protective services. Experience as a foster parent, classroom teacher, Head Start worker, foster care caseworker, daycare provider or administrator of a daycare center, camp counselor, provider of recreational services, receiver of hotline reports making assessments on the calls received, exclusive ¿on call¿ work, or experience as a probation officer, youth counselor, or provider of recreational services are considered non-qualifying job titles and experiences.
