Overview  

Vulnerable Persons Protection Specialist 1 positions are available at the Justice Center. You will answer calls coming into the Justice Center hotline reporting allegations of abuse and/or neglect and/or significant incidents involving vulnerable persons, elicit essential information from individuals making such reports, determine the type of response needed in order to ensure the health and safety of the vulnerable person(s) involved, write a summary of the information received, and forward the incident report to appropriate staff for follow up.

Vulnerable Persons Protection Specialist 1 - Examination Process  

The Vulnerable Persons Protection Specialist examination offers the opportunity to apply and compete in a Department of Civil Service test utilizing an online questionnaire. In the online questionnaire, a candidate will answer questions regarding his or her education and experience.

Online questionnaires can be submitted until midnight on February 28, 2022. The Justice Center will score online questionnaires and add names to the eligible list. Candidates will have a one-year period of eligibility for appointment from the eligible list.

The Justice Center is responsible for reviewing qualifications and adding candidates to the eligible list. The Justice Center will communicate directly with candidates regarding score notices. In addition, the Justice Center will be responsible for canvassing (e.g., inquiring about your interest in the job and location) the eligible list to fill vacancies.
