Completing the Online Questionnaire

Online questionnaires can be submitted at any time. Agencies will score online questionnaires periodically throughout the year when additional eligible candidates are needed to fill vacancies. Once added to an agency eligible list, candidates will have a two-year period of eligibility for appointment from that list.

There is a six-month retest policy for this examination program. You can submit an online questionnaire as frequently as every six months for each engineer level and specialized area at your agency. The Professional Engineer Promotion examinations are Department only Promotion examinations. As such, you may only apply to the Promotion examination for the State agency where you are currently employed or on leave from. Questions about your submission, status on eligible lists, changes to geographic location preferences, and changes to contact information are to be directed to your agency.

The following page provides a list of participating agencies and their direct contact information. Agency Contact Information

We recommend that you review the questionnaire in its entirety and collect all the information you will need to complete the questionnaire, including documents related to your education, experience, licensure, and certifications. Answer all questions that apply to your education, certification, and work experience as completely and accurately as possible. Save the information entered on each page by clicking on the "Save" button at the end of each section. Review, save, and print your information before submitting the questionnaire.

If you have already completed the application process and need to return to the test to complete and submit your questionnaire, you may visit the Department of Civil Service's Online Questionnaire System.

For questions and answers about completing the online questionnaire, please visit the frequently asked questions section.
