This memo is to advise Participating Agencies and Participating Employers that OptumHealth will continue to administer NYSHIP's Mental Health and Substance Abuse program in 2014 on a self-funded basis.
The continuation of Optum as the Program's administrator will not affect benefits offered under the program. OptumHealth will continue to administer the MHSA benefits as it has previously done under the contract.
The Department will be issuing a Request for Proposals for a successor to the Mental Health and Substance Abuse contract early in 2014.
