The Empire Plan is a unique health insurance plan designed especially for public employees in New York State. Look for the Empire Plan on the Internet
We are happy to announce the Empire Plan Participating Provider Directory is now accessible on the Internet's World Wide Web.
To find us, go to http://www.cs.state.ny.us, the Department of Civil Service home page. Click on Employee Benefits.
You'll see "Welcome to the Employee Benefits Division" and NYSHIP. Users will be able to link to the Empire Plan Participating Provider Directory, which MetraHealth/UnitedHealthcare will update weekly. You can search the directory by county, state and zipcode, specialty or name.
We have also gone on-line with a flyer for local governments and school districts in New York State interested in Joining the Empire Plan, complete with premium rates. You can access this from the same Web site.
Next, we plan to add "The Empire Plan at a Glance" benefit summaries for enrollees in each of the three PA benefit package options, followed by benefit information for all other NYSHIP enrollee groups.
