MetraHealth is now part of UnitedHealthcare. UnitedHealthcare Service Corp. replaces the MetraHealth Service Corp. name as administrator for Empire Plan Metropolitan coverage.
We are notifying you of the name change before the official announcement to all enrollees to help you answer enrollees' questions. You'll soon see this new name, UnitedHealthcare, on Empire Plan publications, benefit statements and claim forms.
Only the MetraHealth name is changing. The new name, UnitedHealthcare, does not affect the Empire Plan benefits or the participating provider network. The Empire Plan telephone numbers and addresses remain the same.
