SUBJECT: Student Employee Health Plan (SEHP) Revised Benefit Summary and Benefit Card Distribution

We are happy to inform you of a revised Benefit Summary and Annual Benefit Card distribution for SEHP enrollees represented by GSEU.

Each is described below for your information.

July 1, 2008 SEHP Benefit Summary

A newly revised Benefit Summary incorporates information on the Prescription Drug vendor, UnitedHealthcare/Medco Health Solutions, Inc., removes old 2007 rate information (use the 2008 rate letter [NY0776] instead), and corrects the minimum stipend amount for eligibility.

The SEHP Benefit Summary is not being mailed to enrollee homes, but if you order a SEHP new hire package after August 1, 2008, it will be included with that mailing. We will send you a supply equal to 5 percent of your GSEU enrollment, should you need to distribute it prior to this date.

Annual Distribution SEHP Benefit Card

The annual distribution of new benefit cards for SEHP enrollees represented by GSEU mailed July 10, 2008. All new enrollees and dependents received their own card.

There were no changes in the cards, other than the expiration date. The new expiration date is August 31, 2009.

The mail file was pulled from NYBEAS on July 10, 2008. Anyone added to NYBEAS after that date will receive a card in our normal weekly rolling card mailing for new GSEU enrollees.

Ordering the SEHP summary

As mentioned, the SEHP summary will be in the New Hire package for GSEU enrollees.You may order an individual New Hire package on HBA Online. To order copies of the summary for your inventory, you may use the Supply Order Form enclosed with your shipments, or you may order copies on HBA Online. Please wait until you receive your shipment before you place an order.
