SUBJECT: August 2011 NYSHIP HMO Special Report for CSEA
DATE: August 24, 2011

We will soon mail a NYSHIP Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) Special Report to CSEA enrollees that describes changes affecting NYSHIP coverage as a result of the recently ratified contract between the State and CSEA.

The NYSHIP HMO Special Report includes:

  • Negotiated NYSHIP Changes
  • Special Option Transfer Period
  • Premium Contribution Rate Changes
  • October 1, 2011 Actuarial Table (Updated Life Expectancy Table)

Distribution of Reports
This publication will be mailed to enrollee homes in late August-early September. A supply equal to one percent of HMO enrollment will be sent to each agency for handout to new hires.
